The City of Parma Heights will be offering a competitive examination for the position of entry-level patrol officer.  The testing will be offered through the National Testing Network.  Testing results will be accepted between Friday, February 3, 2023 until Friday, March 3, 2023.  All testing rules through NTN apply. The Parma Heights Police Department is hiring and is now accepting Lateral Transfer Applications indefinitely.

  • Applications can be e-mailed to, mailed to, or dropped off at our department 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
  • Applications will be kept on file for a year, there is NO DUE DATE.

The PHPD consists of 40 members including: the Chief, Chief's Assistant, 2 Captain, 8 Sergeants, 4 Detectives, 1 Detective Bureau Secretary, 19 Patrol Officers, 3 Auxiliary Officers, and 1 part-time Clerk.
