Community Policing (PACT Unit)
The City of Parma Heights received a grant for community policing. With this grant, the Parma Heights Police Department created the Police and Citizens Together (PACT) Unit. The PACT Unit. consists of members of the community in Parma Heights to put on programs for residents to improve the relationship between citizens and police. The PACT Unit consists of seven (7) officers, three (3) sergeants and one (1) clerk. Each officer is assigned a zone.

Pact Unit officers have gone door-to-door introducing themselves and handing out information on how to contact the officer. The City of Parma Heights is divided into four zones and officers are assigned to each zone.
Througout the year, the PACT Unit will host tall hall forums for residents to learn about programs and events in the community. The town hall also consists of opportunities for citizens to speak with officers about problems in their neighborhood.
This program offers youth ages 12-17 an opportunity to participate in social, life skills activities and discussion based groups on current issues that affect youth.
Other Community Outreach
PACT officers also provide other various community outreach programs including Coffee with a Cop, speaking engagements at local schools and other community events like Kids in the Commons. To request a PACT officer to speak with your organization or to attend an event, please either email email@example.com
or call the Police Department at 440.884.1235.
